Happy Easter guys! Here is one of my favourite Easter Egg's in a movie, I am Legend (2007). In a scene set in Times Square, Will Smith’s character Robert Neville passes by a large billboard promoting a Batman and Superman movie. Almost 9 years later, Batman V. Superman has been released!
How did they predict this movie would be released? In an interview with the I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence, he explained the reason that it was there is that the producer and writer of I Am Legend, Akiva Goldsman, actually wrote an early draft of a Batman and Superman movie. However, the movie never got made as the script wound up getting dropped, and Christopher Nolan launched his trilogy of Batman movies instead! I wonder what it would have turned out to be.
