The Girl on the Train

MOVIE NEWS! The trailer released for this today looks so intense! Casting looks pretty spot on - Emily Blunt continues to prove herself as one of the best working actresses today and I hope she can carry this film.
The film is about a young recently divorced woman Rachel (Blunt) who gets the same train every day - she sees the same houses go past each day. the book was set in London however the action has been movies to New York for the film.
Rachel soon becomes obsessed with a couple she sees every day on her commute. She creates the perfect life for them in her mind, wondering what life would be like for them. When the woman from this 'perfect couple' goes missing Rachel becomes entangled in the investigation, as she sees something happen - a glimpse of something on her journey one day. The story becomes a tangled web as the pair also happen to live in the street that Rachel used to live, her ex husband is still there, now with his new wife...
Alcoholic Rachel soon finds out that she is herself a suspect in this case, as she cannot remember the fateful night the girl disappeared, she has no alibi. With scars and bruises on herself that she also cannot account for, who can she trust if she cannot even trust herself?
I have heard good things about the book but I still need to read it before the film comes out.
